A Sirocco is a powerful Mediterranean wind hailing from the Sahara that crosses North Africa and settles in southern Spain. Virtuoso dancer/choregorapher Anjelica Scannura has honed her craft in the flamenco studios of Spain and has travelled wordwide performing both flamenco and bellydance. This class has completed Introduction to Flamenco or has some previous dance training. We will continue building all areas of technique while learning the Bulerias, which is one of the most important palos to learn as a flamenco dancer. The 12 beat rhythmical structure is learned and a choreography is also part of the course.

This course is for students interested in learning the basics of flamenco in a fun, upbeat and authentic environment. All the basics of flamenco dance are covered and the class is accompanied by live flamenco guitar.
