FLAMENCO WORKSHOP INTENSIVES IN JUNE 2023
These workshop intensives are designed to give you a well- rounded “flamenco” workout focusing on all areas of flamenco: stretch and strength, footwork drills, arms, hands and palmas. This type of class will help build articulation in your feet and give you more overall endurance.
THE LEVELS ARE MORE GENERAL FOR WORKSHOPS. THERE WILL BE MIXED LEVELS IN EACH CLASS AND DRILLS WILL BE MODIFIED TO SUIT ALL ATTENDEES.

BEGINNER FLAMENCO IN APRIL – JUNE 2020
For April – June Beginner Flamenco will take place on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30pm. Classes will begin April 2,9, 16,23,30, May 7,14,21,28, June 4,11. Registration is $185 for 11 weeks. Absolutely NEW students will receive a 10% discount off their first class package if they register before April 1st. Total: $166.50 NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE is necessary. Our school is known for engaging the student in an immersive flamenco experience while experiencing the thrill of listening to live flamenco guitar by renowned musician Roger Scannura. Schedule for Winter Term 2020
January 6 – March 31 (no classes Feb 17 – 23
Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm is BEGINNER CASTANET/SEVILLANAS which will run from Jan 8 – March 25 and the registration amount is $180 for 10 weeks.
If there is an instrument that we associate with flamenco, there is no other than the castanets, which together with the guitar, represent the identifying sound of flamenco music and dance as well as Spanish folklore and culture. If you are studying flamenco dance, you should add castanets to the training as every performance we do for the public must include castanets. I provide castanets for the students to borrow until you decide to buy your own. We also cover the first verse of the Sevillanas, which is Spain’s most popular dance.
Thursdays from 6:30-7:30pm is Advanced Beginner Flamenco which will run from Jan 9 – March 26. Registration amount is $200 for 11 weeks.
This class has completed Introduction to Flamenco or has some previous dance training. We will continue building all areas of technique while learning the Bulerias, which is one of the most important palos to learn as a flamenco dancer. The 12 beat rhythmical structure is learned and a choreography is also part of the course.
INTRODUCTION TO FLAMENCO
Thursdays from 7:30-8:30pm Jan 9 – March 26 (no class Feb 20) Registration $190 for 11 weeks 10% off for a total of $170 OR Register in two instalments: $90 for 6 weeks and $85 for remaining 5 weeks.
This course is for students interested in learning the basics of flamenco in a fun, upbeat and authentic environment. All the basics of flamenco dance are covered and the class is accompanied by live flamenco guitar. Students can wear any comfortable workout clothes and shoes with a bit of heel that fit securely on the foot. We have several pairs of used shoes to borrow.
